Our Twenty-First Seminar 2008

Seminary of the Nations presided by Dr. Steve Hooks has been teaching with us for many years. We hold this seminar twice a year (January and July). This year we were honored to have Dr. Paul Boatman, professor at Lincoln Christian Seminary to teach. Accompanied by his wife Mary, he was the man of the time to address the problems of counseling in difficult times of the ministry.
We are living in a time when people are bugged in several dimensions by multiple problems in families, church and society. Some people give up, but some think there is one more inch to cover and they try. Without Jesus, it is just a whole harder yet to make it. In
On this regard, Professor Boatman came and addressed the situation from different angles and the people responded in a big way. We were planning for a crowd of 50 to 60 people; but we ended up having a count of 109 and many others that were unaccounted for. The seminar started usually at 8:30 am and was over at 6:00 pm. At 8:00 pm, I taught from the book of Colossians. The preachers were so interested for learning that no one wanted to rest. It is amazing to see preachers and church workers so hungry for the word.
The cost of food surprised us. This type of seminar used to cost $1500 for three days; this time it went up to $2500 to feed the attendees. It is a blessing to be able to teach those precious workers. Training the country preachers is important. We can’t do the work they are doing in the back country while the gospel needs to reach every soul. When we equip them, we provide them with the skills to serve the Master in areas where we cannot all go.
We thank Seminary for the Nations headed by Dr. Steve Hooks, Dr. Paul and Mary Boatman for their sacrifice to teach and the HCM supporters for providing the funding so we may hold this kind of seminars for the expansion of the kingdom.
With the KINGDOM in mind, the best is yet to come.
